Mission of the Early Childhood Education Program
To offer an educational program that serves as a model among current national and international early childhood education teacher training programs and prepares students for successful careers; to elevate the prestige of the early childhood education discipline to the highest level both nationally and internationally. To train early childhood teachers who demonstrate knowledge, skills, and attitudes consistent with the national and international standards and values of the Turkish National Education System; who are tolerant, fair, and have internalized a culture of democracy, possessing professional competence and sensitivity, inquisitive, creative, problem-solving, versatile thinkers who are competent and sensitive; and who possess ethical and aesthetic values.
To carry out the necessary work to promote, emphasize the importance of, expand, and develop early childhood education. To enhance the quality of the early childhood period and, in collaboration with early childhood educators working in the field, to raise awareness among families and society regarding early childhood education by developing the professional competencies of these educators; To conduct original basic and applied scientific research in early childhood education and to organize scientific events aimed at shedding light on these studies.
