The Faculty of Education was established in 2003 as part of Yıldız Technical University. The Department of Elementary Education was established during the 2010–2011 academic year.
The Department of Early Childhood Education was established in 2011 within the Department of Elementary Education at the Faculty of Education, Yıldız Technical University, and began offering instruction in the 2012–2013 academic year with a student quota of 48.
